Fabrica and Airbnb partnered up to celebrate the connection guests and hosts experience through sharing a home, and how these unique relationships begin with a simple welcome.
The Airbnb ‘Housewarming’ experience was set in the grand Palazzo Crespi in the heart of Milan during Salone del Mobile 2015. Each designer from Fabrica welcomed visitors with a unique interpretation of their own rituals, depending on their culture and origins.
My very English welcome was the ritual of offering and making a cup of tea. Three unique vessels offered different strengths of tea. Each handle was different per vessel, exagerating the act of pouring and serving a guest. The set was complete with a milk jug and sugar bowl.
